About Us

Our company was established in 2001 and works under compaQpeat brand since 2007 producing not only peat but as well as professional substrates using its own peat bogs and manufacturing plant.

We bring together under one roof the four main factors that make quality product - people, peat, production and logistics.

 

People

In every operations task – be it your order, harvesting, screening, mixing, packaging up to consulting by phone or at your premises – we employ people that are professionals of their tasks. It is people and their attitude that makes raw material be the quality product that our clients highly value. We employ mainly local people – thus supporting growth and development of the remote local region.

 

Peat bog and peat

Our main peat bogs are located on the west coast of Baltic Sea - 40km from city of Liepaja and near the little village of Rucava, Latvia. The total area of cultivated peat bogs is 300ha. Baltic White Peat is worldwide known for its very good structure and its best suitability as the main raw material in production of professional substrates. We own not only enough peat resources but also use the West European “Know How” in production of the most ambitious substrates.

 

Production

We use the best known and widely accepted technologies for melioration, peat harvesting, screening, mixing, compressing and packaging. Peat and professional substrates are available in 70L bags, 250L bags and Big Bales. Professional Substrates are mixed according to client’s needs and specifications. Our experienced consultants are available for professional advice in picking the right sort of substrate blend that will promote your success in cultivation.

 

Cooperation with EU Structural Funds

SIA „CompaQpeat” in 2008/2009 participated in EU structural fund financed project „Support of investments in development of small companies in specially supported regions” 1st stage and received financing for modernisation of milled peat production plant – purchase of new fractioning and packaging line.
At the moment we are participating in the 2nd stage of project „Support of investments in development of small companies in specially supported regions” and hope to receive financial support for purchase of new substrate production line and in such way promote SIA „compaQpeat” commercial development.

SIA „CompaQpeat” ir noslēdzis 26.11.2009 līgumu Nr. L-ĪAT-09-0192 ar v/a „Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra” par projekta „Frēzkūdras ražotnes paplašināšana SIA „CompaQpeat”” īstenošanu, ko līdzfinansē Eiropas Reģionālās attīstības fonds.
